What Are Dental Implants?

A dental implant is a small titanium post placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Once healed, it supports a crown, bridge, or denture for permanent tooth restoration.

Benefits of implants include:

  • Natural appearance and function
  • Prevents bone loss and facial sagging
  • No slipping or clicking (unlike dentures)
  • Doesn’t affect neighboring teeth
  • Designed to last decades with proper care

Implants are ideal for patients in good oral and overall health with sufficient bone — or with bone support enhanced by bone grafting.

Our Implant Offerings

1. Single Tooth Implants

Perfect for replacing one missing tooth. We place a titanium implant, allow it to heal and integrate, then top it with a custom dental crown for a seamless match to your natural smile.

2. Implant-Supported Bridges or Partials

If you're missing multiple teeth in a row, implant-supported bridges offer a more secure, stable solution than removable partials.

3. All-on-X Dental Implants

This advanced solution replaces all upper or lower teeth using 4–6 strategically placed implants to support a full-arch bridge. All-on-X is a popular alternative to traditional full dentures and offers dramatic improvements in function and comfort.

We’ll help determine the best option based on your needs, health, and goals.

What to Expect During the Implant Process

  1. Consultation & 3D imaging
We assess bone health, discuss your goals, and create a custom plan.
  2. Surgical placement
The implant(s) are placed under local anesthesia.
  3. Healing & osseointegration
Bone fuses with the implant over 3–6 months.
  4. Restoration
We place a crown, bridge, or full-arch prosthesis once healing is complete.

We also offer same-day implant-supported temporaries in certain cases to reduce downtime and help you smile confidently during healing.

How long do dental implants last?

With good oral hygiene and routine care, implants can last 20+ years — often a lifetime.

Is dental implant surgery painful?

No — it’s performed under local anesthesia. Most patients report only mild soreness afterward.

What’s the difference between All-on-X and regular dentures?

All-on-X implants permanently secure a full-arch bridge to the jaw, offering more stability and bone preservation than removable dentures.

Am I a good candidate for implants?

If you’re in good general health and have enough bone (or can receive bone grafting), implants may be right for you.

Does Medi-Cal cover dental implants?

In most cases, no. Medi-Cal may cover related services like extractions, but not the implant or crown. We’ll walk you through financing options.
